Transfer deed
Transfer deed
If you are going to buy a house, you need to have a transfer deed drawn up in which the transfer of ownership is laid down. This deed will then be executed by the civil-law notary, after which you and the seller, or a person authorised to sign on the seller’s behalf, will sign the transfer deed.Â
Provisions
Reference in the transfer deed is made, for example, to:
- the seller(s) and the buyer(s)
- the description of the registered property
- the purchase price
- the stipulations that the seller has to meet
- a description of easements, qualitative stipulations and/or special obligations
- the transfer tax
- the details of the interpreter, who also signs the deed
Â
Notary interpreter
As an English interpreter and a certified English translator, I assist you during the execution of both the transfer deed and the mortgage deed, the bank’s offer, the completion statement, a cohabitation agreement if applicable, and any further documentation the civil-law notary wants to discuss with you.
Clear, calm and collected, so that you understand everything.
